When I was young I danced at two different studios before going to Dance Impressions. The first thing that reeled me in was that Dance Impressions was good. Not just good, they were incredibly good. I wanted to be that. As I came to the studio, I figured out that it wasn’t just rehearsing the steps over and over and over again that made them good. It was the discipline, the motivation, and the commitment from the teachers and other dancers that made it happen. I had stepped into an environment of achievement. I learned the basics of dance just fine at those other studios, but the difference that occurred when I started at Dance Impressions has, and will continue, to impact my life. I wasn’t just learning how to dance. I was learning how to live a better life. I was learning to work for things I wanted, and work hard. We were held accountable for our actions, and were expected to be responsible. The feelings that came along with these lessons were love and unity. Dance Impressions presents itself with class and professionalism wherever they go and I felt like I was apart of something bigger than myself. THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER.

Thank you so much for being so accommodating. I just registered Sloane, we are excited for next fall. I taught dance for years and have been very impressed with your organization and staff. You guys make things seamless and keep them running smoothly. When looking for a studio in Davis County, I wasn’t sure where to start since I wasn’t familiar with studios here and I am glad I found Dance Impressions. Thanks again!!!

Kandee – I would like to take the opportunity to tell you, and just thank you, for being a good friend and mentor to Ashlee. You’ve helped with her confidence and so many other lessons that I can’t even count. The decision to move to Dance Impressions many years ago was a wise one for so many reasons. I appreciate the way you taught the girls life lessons. Ashlee and I both have so many fond memories of our years there and the friendships that remain and will be lifelong. She looks up to you and knows that you are a true friend. Thank you! ❤️

“Thanks to what I learned at Dance Impressions, I grew as a person and as a dancer. It taught me so many great life lessons young, and it helped me to go on to dance professionally and pursue my dreams. I have danced internationally, danced for the NBA and NFL, and now dance commercially for tv shows, commercials, and companies such as adidas. I could not be more grateful to have grown up at Dance Impressions.”

“I’ll admit, as a Dad I wasn’t very excited about my girls getting into dance. As time went on, my girls joined Dance Impressions and I quickly figured out that I was wrong and it was much more than dance. Besides the fact that my girls have become incredible dancers, they have learned so much more from this studio. Making lifelong friends, gaining self-confidence, achieving goals, learning about work ethic, attitude and discipline are just a few things that come to mind. The owners really do care about each dancer and I will forever be grateful for the lifelong skills they have developed because of Dance Impressions.”

I first heard of Dance Impressions through word of mouth. I came to watch a few of their recitals and was so impressed by their fantastic choreography, level of technique and clean, polished look. As soon as my daughter was of the age to dance, I knew exactly where it was that I wanted her to take dance. Once we were at the studio, I really came to appreciate the fact that they didn’t just get to know my daughter, but me as well. And over the years, everyone at the studio (the other dancers, their moms, the instructors, as well as Heidi, Mallorie, Kandee and “Miss Viv”) really came to feel like an extension of our family. Dance Impressions was not only a second home to my daughter, but a form of entertainment for me as well! Our family enjoyed the travel and fun events she was able to do because of dance and we loved watching her continuous improvement year, after year. Though she is no longer dancing, we miss our many friends and always try to keep tabs on what’s happening with the studio.

“I couldn’t list all the reasons why taking my daughter to Dance Impressions is one of the best decisions I ever made, because it would be too long. She learned so many things there — not just the dance skills and technique that have afforded her countless opportunities throughout the years, but critical life skills that have and will continue to help her be successful in school, career, and life. The added benefit is just that it was so much fun and that both of us have gained lifelong friends. Kandee Allen has helped my daughter with so many things outside of Dance Impressions. She has always been so invested in my daughter’s success — not just in dance but in life. I couldn’t have ever asked for more.”

I had a lot of years of just trying to belong, but figured out I could walk like a chicken, talk and dress like a chicken, but I will still just be a duck. I was never going to fit into the mold and I shouldn’t want to. But, between having a bold mother and a fun, goal-driving dance teacher, they both molded me into the strong, bold woman I am today. They pushed me out of my shell, made me take risks and most importantly, taught me to just be myself. I value greatly what I learned at Dance Impressions — I always have, and always will. Kandee gave so much to so many. I am sure many dancers don’t even realize the gifts she gave and taught them, but I see and and want to thank her for it. Some of my best childhood memories include Kandee or the space she made for us as dancers to grow in. I might not dance anymore but the discipline, loyalty and dedication is still instilled into the person I am today. Dance Impressions changes and helps young minds grow everyday — and even though one might not realize or see it until years later, it is a huge part of the person they become. Thank you, Kandee and Dance Impressions. What you do, and the space you create, very much matters!

I just wanted to take a few minutes and tell you how much I have enjoyed Sophie dancing at Dance Impressions this year. And that I have a genuine appreciation for the dedication and commitment you have shown to her.
Sophie danced at another studio for 3 years prior to coming to Dance Impressions. While she had a good time there, her technique and understanding of dance was lacking. After a dismal competition year, I had a heart to heart with her and found she also wanted more. If we hadn’t moved her, I feel she would have quit dancing and that would have seriously been awful. So we decided to have her audition at Dance Impressions and another local studio. I didn’t care where she went, I just wanted her to be reengaged and care about dance again. She did the audition at Dance Impressions and one day of auditions at the other studio. That night after the other studio’s audition, she told me she didn’t want to go back and just wanted Dance Impressions. She felt so at home, she never even finished the other audition!
Many times she has come home bursting at the seams to show me a new move or a technique she had learned wrong and is now doing correctly because of Dance Impressions. She has come home crying a few times because she didn’t understand the culture or had been corrected of bad habits. I do not mind this at all, in fact I welcome it. I am happy that the teachers care enough about her, her skills, and dance etiquette to correct when she is wrong. I believe dance is teaching her life lessons and I am supportive of anything that teaches her about how life really is and to always give 100%. Transition is not easy, but she has learned so much. She still has a long way to go, but I trust your decisions for her dance future implicitly.
Thank you so much for actually caring enough about her to make her a better dancer. I nearly cried, ok, I really did cry when I watched her at the last competition. She is a completely different dancer than she was a year ago and I was so happy to see her progression and her joy for dance. I am sure of one thing…this was a good move and we will never look back. I am excited to see where she goes and how she progresses over the next few years. You have made us “lifers” and I sincerely appreciate everything.
